During the summer of '07, I took a three week art class at the University of Saint Francis. You chose two classes from a list provided, and the first to submit their application were given first picks. I took photography and computer animation. The photography class was amazing. We took, developed, and edited our own photographs in the adjoining dark room. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. One of the photographs I worked with was one I took of my cat Sadie, who seems to be very photogenic and adores the cameras because she always holds still for me. *laughs*

The negative was not originally suppose to be this scratched. I accidentally dropped my film on the floor after I finished developing it. The dust and fingerprints would not come off and left scratches. I was upset at first, but I started noticing how this caused it to look more like an old movie when lines and blotches would appear on the screen. To enhance this feeling, I soaked the photo in a tub of sepia stain to give it the dusty color. It added a unique effect in the end.
