Gallery Introduction and Background

Well, I suppose I should start with how this gallery first started. As I mentioned in my About the Artist section, I am a member of Gaia Online where I take art commissions (also known as avi or avatar art) during the summer. I had a journal that I used as my cheap, poor excuse for a gallery, but it was efficient enough to meet my needs. I was content up until now. I decided I wanted my own page that I could use exclusively for my art. With much help from my boyfriend, I managed to get my page here. *grins*

I'm trying to get a name for myself or at least some recognition before I go to college, though I assume I'll have improved incredibly during my time in college, so that may be when I get the most recognition. I found it difficult to work on deviantART, which is why I chose a blog instead. Don't get me wrong, I love that website, but I'm not familiar with it and I wanted something easy to manage.

I plan on just posting my newest, most improved on pictures, but if anyone is interested in seeing what some my older art looks like, they can click the above link. Unfortunately, many who have not seen my journal will miss out on some of my favorite art pieces, but you're not missing much. They're not very good. *laughs* It could be something to do in your free-time. I use it to laugh at myself and compare the now to the then.

This may be the only post I will have up for a while due to the fact I will be in Michigan and New Jersey with my brother for a couple weeks. I don't know if I'll have Internet access there or not, but it will give me time to edit my scanned pictures so they have the best quality possible. Which also reminds me, I will be posting up my pictures with links, mainly because I'm lazy. *laughs* It keeps my page less cluttered and makes viewing easy. I'll also be able to keep the sizes larger to ensure more detail.

I thank those who will be keeping an eye on this gallery and thank in advance those who will view this later on. *smiles*
